- wearemidlife Sometimes when you are from Los Angeles and your husband is from, well, anywhere but Los Angeles it’s fun to give them a uniquely LA experience. Sometimes it will backfire and he will look at you and say, “you need to get a real job“. Yesterday was the latter. You see my friend is working with a physician who is doing IV vitamin infusions on the weekend. They take over a luxury hilltop home and turn it into a rejuvenation center for the weekend.
I did a real number on my ankle during my last tennis tournaments and I haven’t even played for the month of February. I’m waiting for the swelling to go down. In addition to that some of you know that I have rheumatoid arthritis. So I had an anti-inflammatory cocktail yesterday.
It’s not a magic wand, but I undeniably felt better this morning. Simply being hydrated, or rehydrated on a Sunday morning (after an active Saturday night) is incredibly refreshing. My friends swear that after a few weeks they’ve seen major changes in their skin, so I’m looking forward to doing it again. But next time I’ll bring a book and leave my husband home because I’m concerned he’s going to hurt himself rolling his eyes that much.
